Please note this is not legal advice and I am not qualified to give any medical advice.

The government publishes daily updates at 2pm with the latest stats and advice.

Acas has also produced workplace specific guidance which sets out the steps employers should be taking.

If your industry has been affected by coronavirus and you have a downturn in work, you may also find this guidance on short time working and lay-offs useful.

Flexible working -  As our economy, working environments and people’s personal lives continue to change, you need to be able to offer employees a better choice in how and where they work.  This can be referred to as  ‘agile working’.  By doing this you create a win-win situation as it gives employees  a better choice in their work-life balance and helps you attract and retain the talent you need to be competitive in the market.

Diversity and Inclusion - promotion of family friendly policies to increase female talent into the workplace, help working mums, dads and carers and encourage employment of over 50’s. This helps you to attract and retain the right people with the right skills that you need to grow your business.

Wellbeing - offering and promoting ways of helping workers make healthy life choices and promoting health and wellbeing at work, eg. mindfullness.  This includes looking at lifestyle employee benefits which offer incentives for improved health and exercise.
